Bloody love this! You write SO well and so honestly. I can relate to all of this and let's face it, we all dress up how busy we are in this ludicrous industry! The truth of it is as you say, only you can push yourself out there and no can care about your career as much as you do yourself. That is why you are so prolific and with such a variety of work, because you really care about your career, it shows. Did I mention you have just the best writing style?? It's not even writing, it's personal chat. Brilliant
Ah thanks Dan! It means a lot to me that you even read my writing, let alone enjoy it. I had a realisation the other day that sometimes it's like being in an abusive relationship with my career. The love bombing, aka the thrill of a great new client who loves me and says I'm their go to stylist, followed by the self doubt and self loathing when it suddenly vanishes. And then comes back again just when I'm ready to leave/change careers. Next post perhaps...
