I’m doing things a bit differently today because speaking is faster than writing. I also really enjoyed adding an audio narration to my written posts so now I have the audio bug. I’ve been talking about doing an actual podcast for YEARS, so consider this a test run perhaps…
I’m currently in DIY house exterior hell (truthfully I’m enjoying it but we’re supposed to make out like it’s a struggle right?) and as I say in the audio above, I like to give my writing time and care and thought, none of which I currently have. So today I chat instead.
So make a cup of tea and sit down for a short rest - it’s under 15 minutes - or hit play when you start to cook dinner (this is my number one time to listen to podcasts) and enjoy a few random thoughts from the Notes app on my phone:
Swedish Death Cleaning; How I’m not great at small talk and its effect on my writing; when the anticipation of a creative (or any) goal feels better than achieving the goal; and a few more random bits.
Last year I wrote a piece about why I’m not sharing my renovation on social media anymore. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll be aware that I have done a 180º turn on that and I’m now back to sharing ad nauseum. So it’s video over there, and writing and audio over here. At least for now.
Moving forward - after reflecting on this post all night and almost not sharing it because I thought I should re-record it with more planning and structure - I decided I’ll finally be producing that podcast, with guests popping in from time to time. So for now I’ll leave you with this and maybe next time we can dive deeper into one of the subjects I chat about here.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. And as always, thanks for listening/reading.
Enjoy!
