How satisfying!! So pleased I am not alone in reusing the BM jars. Yes to a curtain. Would a food related design be quirky in a good way or way too obvious? You could repurpose some French Boulangerie teatowels 🤷🏻‍♀️

That’s a lovely idea about the curtains! And food related could be good if it was very specific to my taste right? I feel like you’ve set me an interesting challenge. Thanks!

Hard relate! My chaotic spicy ricey nutty shelves are calling.

“Spicy ricey nutty shelves”. I’m making a label for that and sticking it on my pantry door!

Definitely a curtain. I think it'd be nice to echo the checkerboard effect and colours of the kitchen tiling, if you didn't find it too matchy. I don't have, but would love, a pantry. I have got one of those pull out pantry-type kitchen units though and I delight in arranging it from time to time, especially at times of stress! And I love a productive Bank Holiday, too. So, relatable.

I’m not sure if I’ll go matchy matchy or maybe finally add a bit of contrast - something I talk about in my books but haven’t actually done with this house! Your pull out pantry drawer sounds very handy!

Entirely relatable! Full Bonne Maman gingham or maybe floral sprig to hide the washing machine.

Thanks! There are still little flourishes I want to add to the kitchen - art mainly - but it’s a vast improvement! I hope you enjoyed your sorting day.

PS being a British woman in the US I totally understand about dryers. Maybe a stripe fabric for your washing machine curtain?

Yes I do love a stripe - although haven’t recent trends ruined things some of us have loved for years?? Stripes, vintage florals, and don’t get me started on bows!

Emily! Congrats on your project. I can relate as I have procrastinated over a similar one the entire memorial weekend - clearing my closet and switching my winter clothes to summer. I’m not as efficient as you I didn’t get it done in an afternoon and there’s still mess to sort. Now I have some motivation from you - thank you! ❤️

That’s a job that’s also on my list! I rarely do these things in one go - see my recent post about counting my trousers - they sat on the bed for weeks and are now back in bags!
