Since writing that piece I've heard from a number of people who've expressed the same thing as us. I remember feeling that way when my kids were little 20+ years ago but not in the "not enough hours in the day" way working parents often feel. More of an existential, life is short, must make a mark kind of way!
Emily this resonates so much - particularly the sense of running out of time! I’m currently trying to dismantle this sense in myself. It’s served me well as drive but now I’m experimenting with slowing down to speed up. Deffo gonna try a mind map of the year as well. Thanks for sharing and being so honest. Xx
Thanks Jess. I think that's a really great way of thinking about life and making positive changes for our well-being - slowing down to speed up. In a way that's what I've been trying to do as well. Being kinder to ourselves right? And yes I highly recommend a mind map if you're a visual person. Use a large piece of paper or do individual ones for different aspects of your life - career, health, finances etc. Good luck! x
I feel that weird “running out of time” thing as well. There’s just so much to do! I think that just shows how creative you really are!!

Yes I think that’s where I am. I just have a lot I want to do.... and I’ll be 40 this year. Must be a crisis 😂
